In 2016, Whitney joined The Resort at Pelican Hill as Group Sales Manager. She oversees the southwest market, specializing in groups from 10-250 room nights. Located in Newport Coast, CA, The Resort at Pelican Hill is a Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond destination that Whitney considers to be the highlight of her professional career.

Whitney first moved to California in pursuit of breaking into the wedding industry, serving as Director of Catering Sales for Wedgewood Wedding & Banquets and assisting with talent acquisition. Additionally, she helped create a training program for all catering sales hires.

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Whitney earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. After graduation, she briefly returned to Oklahoma to begin her sales career heading Dave & Buster’s catering sales team.

I am delighted to join SITE Texas to get further involved in our community, even from California. I look forward to meeting other like-minded professionals and working together on future projects. Texas is a wonderful state that’s seen impressive growth, and I’m excited to watch SITE Texas follow suit.

I have over 15 years of experience in marketing and corporate events with 9 years concentrated in internal sales and incentive events. My passion is designing and delivering exceptional event experiences for my attendees. I truly enjoy my career as it’s ever-changing and always exciting! I love working with my enthusiastic and dedicated team who continues to challenge me and help me perform at my best. My goal is to create memorable events that my guests will never forget!

Jeanne Kirk

National Account Manager

Jeanne is a Certified Meeting Professional with more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry successfully producing and managing events in the corporate, association, government, incentive and third party companies.

This experience has led her to her current position as National Account Manager for Experient and is based in Austin, TX. She enjoys her role as a meeting consultant with her association, corporate and government clients. As an extension of their staff, she helps find the best possible location for their meetings and conventions as well as help with registration and housing needs. By sharing best practices with her colleagues by managing over 8,600 events annually, Jeanne is able to benchmark destinations and venues, help discover emerging trends and with this collective data, ultimately get her clients the optimum combination of rates, concessions and terms every time.

Jeanne loves being part of Experient’s family of experts and continues to build her business by referrals and great partnerships. Experient is one of the world’s leading event management companies and has the expertise and experience to help design and deliver exceptional event experiences.
