Sustainability isn’t just recycling!
Did you know that sustainability means more than just reducing waste and recycling? Sustainability is taking action to preserving our natural environment, promoting a healthy, inclusive society, and supporting a thriving economy.
The United Nations General Assembly has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a call to action by all countries. The 17 SDGs and accompanying 169 targets are a guide to achieve a better and more sustainable future. More specifically, to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity, all while tackling climate change and preserving our oceans and forests. The SDGs are not just for countries and governments to follow. Fulfilling these goals takes all sectors of society, including government, businesses, and individuals.
