Vision & Goals
What we stand for
What we stand for
To grow and engage our membership for success
As you’re reading this, we have begun to move into Fall in Texas. There is football on the airwaves, some hotels bustling with leisure guests and a sense that hope is alive in our industry and world. Here at SITE Texas, we have seen that “Community” is not just a word but a way of being – surviving and thriving. It underscores our 2020 theme of “Building on our Foundation” together, as the membership is truly the foundation from which all of our efforts are supported. This is our community. Our industry, and all of it’s beautiful faces, have suffered in 2020 and we now begin to emerge fortified with a new strength that comes from the unity we’ve experienced on this journey. And I find myself in a state of gratitude.
As we turn a new page into Q4 and are making our plans for 2021, the SITE Texas Board of Directors wants you to know that we’re here for you and, as your President, I am interested to continue the many personal conversations we’ve had either individually, by phone, or during our happy hour chapter events. Our SITE membership has been continually on my mind and I challenge myself to find ways to be a resource to all of you.
Our team has been working quite hard to provide fifteen educational and networking opportunities for our community to date – more than double that of last year! In addition, Melissa Soto and team launched the first-ever CITP Study Group with nine sessions from June to August to ensure our membership, and all who wanted to sit for the exam during CITP week, were prepared! Congratulations to all of our SITE Texas members who sat for the exam on September 21st ! It’s my hope that many of us passed and now represent our newest members of the CITP club.
In addition to events, our team has been working incredibly hard on the marketing side of our house. If you don’t know Todd Zint and Roxann Hendrickson, one of your goals for Q4 should be to change that! This dynamic team has brought a depth of experience and creativity to our efforts that have elevated our deliverables in every way. They’ve engaged an outside agency, MW2, to assist in enhancing our digital strategy, optimization, and analytics. They are building on the foundation that past board members laid and are truly taking our chapter to the forefront of the digital era.
You should have recently received an email notification that our very hard-working nominations committee has completed the slate for the 2021 SITE Texas Board of Directors. My heart is filled with gratitude that we have so many talented volunteers, past and present, who have been willing to step forward and serve this best-in-class chapter! Thank you to the nominations committee for their dedication to leaving our chapter in very capable volunteer hands.
Lastly, I’m thrilled to share with you our newest campaign which highlights the rich membership base we have in SITE Texas and also showcases the very healthy marketplace we have built here for buyers and suppliers. #IBUYSITE is launching this month on our social channels and website. Each SITE Texas member is enthusiastically invited to participate in this complimentary awareness campaign and the SITE marketing team will promote each and every member video submitted. Click here to view a sampling of the videos that have been produced thus far as well as simple instructions for how you can become a part of the fun!
As we move closer to the holiday season, I wish each of you a Q4 filled with health, prosperity and peace. We have been challenged and, in many cases, we have been blessed. Together, we are emerging stronger and changed. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your SITE journey and to lead the Texas Chapter in 2020! It has been one of my life’s highest honors.
